Designed for a local home builder, DLC facilitated the design of narrow townhomes which feel spacious and light in the interior with a large amount of amenities. The single-family housing consisted of 9 separate buildings with a total of 35 townhome units of various sizes. Unit exteriors were designed to change minimally structurally while giving a large amount of difference in appearance and styling so that each unit would feel like it was an individual in the whole. Each unit was unique to its neighbor with alternating material choices and color distinctions. The Grove as a whole maintains its cohesive image and creates a distinct look for the project while giving opportunities for individuality.
